ABOUT ELLEN SHILLINGLAW - Maryland Landscape Designer Ellen Shillinglaw is our Maryland landscape design expert and founder of Living Gardens. Ellen is a graduate of the George Washington Landscape Design Program, and has completed the coursework for a Master’s in Landscape Architecture (alas, no thesis completion!). She is the past President of the Landscape Design Group (a membership organization of GW Landscape Design graduates). She is currently the project director for the restoration of Tregaron Estate, an important historic garden in Washington DC designed by Ellen Biddle Shipman in 1919. A long time Bethesda,
