Kurt Denchfield of Denchfield Landscaping, Inc. has been in the landscape design, installation, and maintenance business since 1990. His degree is in accounting, with a minor in horticulture, from the University of Maryland. Kurt also owns Denchfield Nursery, Inc. in Hyattsville. In his spare time (none!), he is a licensed real estate agent, a certified public accountant, and the father of Taylor (11) and twins, Madison and Matthew (2004) and Emily Grace (2006). Kurt enjoys the enthusiasm his clients feel after a new landscape installation has been completed. Mark Willcher of Mark Willcher & Co, Inc. is a landscape designer, artist and garden builder. He has won several awards for his garden design and installations. He specializes in what he calls “gardens for inner stillness”; Meditation and Contemplative gardens that connect people with nature and their inner self. His formal training is in ecological botany with an additional major in philosophy, as well as the George Washington Landscape Design program. His informal training is as a stone sculptor and poet. He lives in Bethesda with a very fat black and white cat.
